Shruti Narayan

Brand identity designer

After studying art in high school as one of her core subjects, she pursued Textile Design at the Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology. Post college, having worked in fashion for about a year and working on her illustration and graphic skills, Shruti started freelancing as a graphic artist, and eventually a designer. The diverse work, the use of different media to express herself got the better of her hooked to it and she found her garden of Eden in her own beautiful world of art. Good work followed with good brands – Bohca, Fio, Dirty Good, Café Reed and many more. Having developed a knack for combining her art and communication insights, she took up Blue Book more as a challenge than work. It sounded simple but that was also the catch – the simple things are toughest to crack. Rounds of discussions, many drafts and a clear understanding of Shrey’s vision finally brought up the beautiful regal mnemonic, to unlock new experiences, discover the new and old and the Blue Book key. One led to another idea and the identity was created over a few weeks. Shruti once shared that the Blue Book, like the brand, remains one of the most admired works of her recent times.

Inclusive growth, exclusive experience

It is amazing to find instances in life where each perspective changes into another without much changing about it. For instance, the experience that we wish to curate for you is also someone’s livelihood, one man’s dream, some woman’s chance to study more, while all who really love doing this in their life and earn smiles from every visitor. We live in a world that nature has offered us only at the condition of taking care of it. We live in a society where a hand extended to pull one woman or man out of a stuck life helps an entire family grow. We live in the times when utmost service comes with great kindness, politeness, and respect for each other. Hence, every experience you take back with you here at Gethia will help another child in the village to attend school. It will help us keep the taps running during summers when the village dries up. It will motivate us to keep the green as is or probably greener. It will reassure us that every eco-sustainable way we practise makes a difference to the world. It will help another local feel proud of his heritage and tradition when they share it with you.

We welcome you with a strong belief of inclusive growth and exclusive experience – the essential Blue Book philosophy.
